Bike the Byway
A 36-mile loop ride that begins and ends at Colonie Town Park, moving along the Byway on Riverview Road, taking in Vischer Ferry, Church Hill Road, Waterford, Peebles Island and the Champlain Canal Towpath.
Mohawk Hudson Bike-Hike Trail
A 40-mile continuous path that starts in Pattersonville, west of Albany, and follows the Mohawk River east to the confluence with the Hudson River. Two sections of the trail include the Albany to Cohoes segment and Cohoes to Rotterdam Junction segment.
Old Champlain Canal Trail

A 3-mile-long dirt path along the Old Champlain Canal beginning at Lock 2 Park and traveling one mile south to see Old Champlain Canal Lock 4 and Lock 5, the old weigh lock, and several side cut locks.
Champlain Canalway Trail
700-acre preserve between Riverview Road and the Mohawk River in the Town of Clifton Park illustrates the progress of Erie Canal development with a segment of the original 1825 Erie Canal and towpath, a segment and a number of structures from the 1842 enlarged Erie Canal, and the currently used NY State Barge Canal.
